Less than a year after their full-length debut, hardcore supergroup Dead Cross return with a frenetic four-song EP. Surging lead-off track “Skin of a Redneck” sees Faith No More vocalist Mike Patton howling about monkeys, scorpions and a “neon galaxy of lies,” while former Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo unloads a percussive whirlwind. “My Perfect Prisoner” is a frantic punk stomper led by Michael Crain’s demented, deep-fried guitars. The EP closes with awesomely bizarre and heavily techno-fied remixes of “Shillelagh” and “Church of the Motherfuckers”.
